NEXT GENERATION BIDIL®

NitroMed is committed to maximizing patient convenience and compliance with respect to taking BiDil® (isosorbide dinitrate/hydralazine hydrochloride).  Toward this goal, NitroMed, in collaboration with  technology partner(s), is pursuing an extended release formulation of BiDil, with the intent of reducing the number of times each day that BiDil is taken.  This next generation BiDil product is referred to as BiDil XR.    This product enhancement would also offer the benefit of expanding on the Company’s already strong intellectual property portfolio for BiDil, by adding to and/or extending patent protection for the product.
